"Trequanda is a real place, physically located among the hills of the Sienese area, which can be reached by taking detours along secondary roads. Six people are trapped there by an avalanche, with no way out or resolution if not thinking and reflecting on a better world by asking themselves existential questions how to save themselves and survive. This is essentially the plot of dance theatre, contemporary art performance, put into action by the creator, choreographer and director Veronika Riz.
The collaborators come in various capacities not from the theatre but from the performing arts, artistic installations and video art respectively Alberto Scodro, fashion designer Dagmar Gruber, video artist Giacomo Corvaia, a storyteller Marco Gnaccolini. On the screen the first, the present and then the narration. Shot between Sarentino and Renon, the videos projected during Trequanda do not explain, the geographical setting is not geolocalized but an integral part of a reinterpretation of ecology in a territorial key; there is not a here but any other place on the planet where the actors, modern gurus and guardians of nature perform their rituals; while on stage reality is staged with its clouds of ice that fade from the stage floor."
